Research process

1. Read the document and highlight any important text. Capture that in a reference note. Alternatively, capture important details from the entire document in that reference note.
2. Write whatever thought that comes into mind (if applicable) into a fleeting note.
3. Paraphrase the ideas in a literature note. In this case, rewrite the argument or thought in your own words.
4. Make a declarative statement in a permanent note.

In summary,

1. Details/summaries: Reference
   1. UPDATE (22-01-2025): Also for findings and musings!
2. Braindump/unpolished: Fleeting
3. Paraphrased ideas: Literature
4. Completely new ideas FROM other notes: Permanent

Contextual connections

1. Can I use this note to explain something else?
2. What does this mean for another concept?

Keywords

• Think about under what circumstances I might need this information
• Generic keywords might actually be less helpful
